something new, something borrowed, something blue.
Like the wedding tradition.
Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane, hosted by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme.
Something old:
Not very old, from the 1960's but interesting nonetheless. A friend is restoring the interior of this Cadillac ambulance.
Sprouts are as new as it gets around here.
Something borrowed:
Often, library books (I thought the title ironic for this one)
Something blue.
My favourite colour, so this was a tough one to choose:
Handmade. A pottery bowl from a set I made. I can't get this blue glaze anymore :(
And factory made, a gorgeous blue pattern, a Spode teapot.
See more interpretations of the theme here.

The blue patterns are lovely.

thank you for you good wishes. Your portrait of Peri is now my pride and joy. Love your interpretation of the theme.

Lovely choices! And I love your blue bowl. You are clever!

Maybe you could try to create the glaze yourself? It looks to me like there's a decent amount of rutile in it. (Love those rutile glazes!)
I haven't been commenting (or posting) much (at all) lately, but I'm always happy to see a little number 1 in my RSS feed for kittycafe!
All the best to you in 2012!

I loved that book! It is kind of funny that you borrowed that book.

Lovely blues...

yes, making it up is fun!
here's a delightful mix of eccentrics, the ambulance being the eye catcher. dare i ask, is it going to become a sort of mobile home? a printing studio? a meth lab? i mean... yeah?
;)))

I had a friend at University whose car was a restored hearse. It was a great party-mobile at the time, but a little creepy if you think about it... Love your blue bowl!

Amazing car and beautiful blue bowl!
@Debra: I know people who restore vintage hearses...don't ask me what THEY do with their cars! ;o)
(Well, in fact those people are quite normal and mostly just interested in keeping up the history of utility vehicles!)

Just curious, why can't you get that glaze? It's a beautiful bowl!

Love that blue bowl, beautiful.

Darned if I know Debra. It was driven in our very small Christmas parade this year.

I've not seen many American cars that big over here. (I think mainly because of the weight-based road tax and heavy fuel consumption. More and more Dutch drive very small and light cars. Us too...)
The shade of that bowl is lovely.
Hope the accident was just a nuisance and no-one was injured?!

What does one do with a restored Cadillac ambulance after it is restored?
