It's been three weeks since we moved but what with the spotty internet connection and the limited computer use (mine was not set up because it was going to be replaced) and the mysterious ongoing illness of my daughter, along with medical appointments and care, still not resolved, a toothache (mine) that turned into a root canal (fun!) and the unpacking and everyday living, I didn't quite make it here to this little space.
So hello, hello! I've missed you!
Just finding a place to live up to the very last minute - after a few potiental houses fell through for various reasons, left us very stressed and exhausted. We ended up in an apartment of a very large house on several beautiful acres, very close to our old house. (Not close enough for good internet though and very limited bandwidth. We are in a bit of a dead zone. Ah, rural living)
The new view from our kitchen window, complete with frost.
There is no garden but there is an unexpected bonus, chickens! About 40 hens here who are getting my table scraps and I am getting fresh eggs, without having to muck out the hen house. This is a good deal, I think!
Finding where and what to unpack with 1000 sq feet less space, interesting. There is enough living space but not enough storage space (Why couldn't we get a whole house with a basement? Why?) I keep the mantra," it's only temporary" going through my head.
I did escape for some fun last weekend at a very interesting workshop.
More on that tomorrow.
So nice to be back. Give me a shout out, will you?
